Sowing time: Mid-September to Mid-December and Mid-January to Mid-April

• Seed rate: 5-6 kg/ha.
• Spacing and thinning 40-45×8-10 cm.
• After germination, seedlings are thinned 4-5 cm apart to maintain the plant population of about 6-8 lakh/ha which is sufficient to get optimum yield
• Nutritional requirement:NPK @ 60:40:40 kg/ha and Borax @ 8-10 kg/ha as basal application
