NSC PUSA KAJRI is a high-yielding muskmelon variety developed by ICAR–NEW DELHI. This variety is known for its excellent fruit quality, sweet taste, and attractive appearance, making it suitable for both commercial cultivation and home gardens.

Fruits are medium-sized, round to oval in shape with smooth skin and thick, orange-colored flesh. Kashi Madhu muskmelon has a rich aroma and high sweetness, with total soluble solids (TSS) ranging from 12–14° Brix. The crop matures in about 80–90 days after sowing and performs well under summer growing conditions.

The variety shows good adaptability and comparatively better tolerance to common muskmelon diseases when grown with recommended agronomic practices. Due to its uniform fruit size, good shelf life, and appealing flavor, it is highly preferred in the fresh market.
