The Sahyadri Kempumukthi (Red Rice) paddy seed variety features a maturity period of approximately 125 days and demonstrates high resistance to blast disease along with strong tolerance to pests such as the Stem Borer, Leaf Folder, and Coreid Bug. Developed with data from UAHS, Shivamogga and NSC, this premium red rice variety offers high nutritional value with an 11.52% protein content and yields a potential output of 50–54 quintals per hectare, (20–22 Q/acre).
