Proso Millet (chena/barri)

Proso Millet (Chena/Barri) is a small, quick-cooking millet with a mild flavour that adapts easily to a wide range of recipes. It is naturally gluten-free and provides a good balance of carbohydrates, fiber, and plant protein to support steady energy release. Its separate, non-sticky grains make it ideal for salads, upma, pulao, and simple khichdi preparations. Add it to your pantry as a versatile grain for both traditional Indian dishes and global-style bowls.
