Vermicompost (vermi-compost) is the product of the decomposition process using various species of worms, usually red wigglers, white worms, and other earthworms, to create a mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and vermicast.

Vermicompost has a plethora of benefits, most importantly as follows:

(1) it acts as biofertilizers, restores soil nutrients, stabilizes soil, and enhances soil fertility at a long-term period

(2) it attends to social issues and recycles waste

(3) it is shown to be a profitable enterprise as a circular economy.
