Hand-painted Terracotta Matki With Diya Lid

A small terracotta matki (pot) hand-painted in deep maroon with yellow zig-zag borders and white dots, topped with a matching hand-painted diya that doubles as its lid; the diya carries a yellow flower inside. Use it as a puja kalash, a festive table piece or a keepsake for sweets and dry fruits, and light the diya with oil or ghee and a cotton wick. Hand-painted, so each piece varies slightly.
