Carom Seeds (Ajwain): 1/2 teaspoon
Sesame Seeds: 1 tablespoon
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida (Hing): A pinch
Salt: To taste
Oil: For frying
Water: As needed to knead the dough
Preheat the oven to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF).
Grease a baking tray with a little oil.
Arrange the shaped dough pieces on the baking tray, ensuring they do not touch each other.
Brush a little oil on top of the dough pieces.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, turning them halfway through the baking time, until they are golden brown and crispy.
If using a stovetop, you can dry roast the shaped dough pieces in a non-stick pan over low-medium heat until they are evenly browned and crispy, turning frequently.
