Book Introduction:‘Anugeetika’ (Part-I) has emerged as a historical and ideological intervention in the poetic tradition of Hindi literature. This work is the first organized, theoretical, and creative document of ‘Anugeet,’ a newly created poetic genre in Hindi, which was formally launched from the sacred land of Kashi—the same Kashi that has provided direction, vision, and foundation to Hindi literature for centuries. ‘Anugeet’ is a poetic genre that engages with the aesthetic structure of the ghazal, but its soul, language, and sensibility are entirely rooted in Hindi.
This genre offers a solution to the long-standing ideological conflict that has existed for years between the so-called ‘Hindi ghazal’ and the Urdu ghazal regarding language and acceptance. The driving force behind this significant literary initiative is Pandit Chhatish Dwivedi ‘Kunthit,’ who is both the chief editor and publisher of this work. He is a vigilant figure in Hindi literature who has consistently made creative interventions at all three levels: writing, editing, and publishing. Through ‘Syahi Prakashan,’ he has not only provided a platform for emerging writers but has also encouraged new literary trends and genres. The editing of ‘Anugeetika’ is an excellent example of profound literary understanding, linguistic discipline, and aesthetic sensibility. While selecting the works for this collection, Pandit Chhatish Dwivedi ‘Kunthit’ has prioritized quality, originality, and genre purity, so that this work can also be established as a reference book for researchers, literary scholars, and serious readers.
‘Anugeet’ resolves this conflict, providing Hindi with its own independent poetic identity. This anthology presents themes of love, life, society, human emotions, contemporary reality, and spiritual consciousness in a new poetic form. The works included in this collection not only touch the reader on an emotional level but also inspire them to think anew about language, expression, and poetic form.
'Anugeetika' (Part One) is not merely a poetry collection, but a formal declaration of a new genre in Hindi literature. This book points towards the future of Hindi poetry and emerges as a powerful document of literary harmony, linguistic pride, and creative freedom. 'Anugeetika' has been published by Syahi Prakashan. This collection was published in 2025, in Hindi, and belongs to the poetry genre. The organizers stated that subsequent parts of 'Anugeetika' will also be published soon. This collaborative collection includes works by Dr. Chandrabhal Sukumar, Dinanath Dwivedi Rang, Madhuri Mishra, Karuna Singh, Buddhadev Tiwari, Pushpendra Asthana 'Pushp', Sunil Seth, and G.L. Patel 'Ayan', along with the editor, 'Kunthit Ji'.
