Threatened Birds of Uttarakhand -This book is largely based on Threatened Birds of India (2012) by the first author that covers all the globally Threatened and Near Threatened birds identified by BirdLife International (2012). Wherever necessary it has been updated up to 2013. Only the species that occur in Uttarakhand are described in this book. The bird species for which Uttarakhand is a major stronghold are described in detail but species that occur occasionally or are vagrant or have only marginal distribution in Uttarakhand are described in brief.
