SEMPRA is a selective, systemic herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds in soybeans. It is absorbed by the roots and shoots of weeds and translocated to the growing points, where it interferes with cell division. SEMPRA is effective against a wide range of broadleaf weeds, including pigweed, lambsquarters, waterhemp, and velvetleaf. It is also effective against certain grass weeds, such as barnyardgrass and foxtail.

SEMPRA is a restricted-use pesticide. It may only be used by certified applicators.

Active Ingredient

The active ingredient in SEMPRA is pendimethalin. Pendimethalin is a dinitroaniline herbicide that inhibits cell division in plants.

Formulation

SEMPRA is formulated as a wettable powder.

Application

SEMPRA can be applied preemergence or postemergence. Preemergence applications should be made before weeds emerge. Postemergence applications should be made when weeds are small and actively growing.

Mixing

SEMPRA can be mixed with other herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. However, it is important to read the labels of all products carefully before mixing them.
