Poems From Puravi the Child

Poems from Puravi the Child is a collection of seven poems, translated by Kshitis Roy, the former curator of the Tagore Museum in Shantiniketan and theong-time editor of the Visva-Bharati Quarterly. The sources for these poems are Puranata, 'Fulfilment', Videshi Phul, 'Foreign Flower', Antarhita, 'The Phantom', Asamka, 'Faint Heart', Shesh Vasanta, 'Theast Spring' and Badal, 'The Exchange'. 'The Postscript' has been taken from Sheshekha, 'Theast Writing' (1941)The Child (1931) is the only major poem by Tagore written directly in English. He translated it into Bengali as Sishutirtha, which wasater included in Punascha (1932).
