Ayyappan was born as progeny of the union of Vishnu and Shiva. They are cast seperately and can be removed from the statue. His right hand up in the vitarka mudra, the teaching mudra, with his thumb and forefinger together.He has two beautiful malas hanging around his neck.Ayyappan is a lost wax method, bronze statue. There is only one statue like this made.
