Biotechnology is highly multidisciplinary; it has its roots in many fields simultaneously including biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, chemistry and chemical engineering.
The field of biotechnology has been the scene of many stormy developments in the past decade. Nowadays biotechnology is available as a subject right from class XIth onwards, as a degree course and also at masters and doctrate/postdoctrate level.
Although there have been many excellent books available on this subject, need for a dictionary was being felt for long. This dictionary by us is an effort in that direction.
