Palnadu (Narasaraopeta)

Palnadu (Narasaraopeta) is a new district in Andhra Pradesh, established in 2022, with Narasaraopet as its headquarters. It is historically famous for the 12th-century Battle of Palnadu. The district is largely agricultural, known for crops like paddy and cotton, and is also a significant producer of limestone for the cement industry, particularly around Piduguralla. It represents a blend of rich history, agricultural prosperity, and developing urban centers in Andhra Pradesh.
