Description

Pulikaichal (Tamarind) Paste, also known as Puliogare Paste is a Ready-to-Use paste, which can be used to make Instant Tamarind Rice.  It can also be used as a condiment and used along with Chappati (Roti), Dosa, Idly and Curd Rice.

Balali's Vishalam Pulikaichal (Tamarind) Paste has been prepared in a traditional manner using our Grandmothers' Authentic Recipe.  Only premium 1st grade ingredients have been used

Shelf Life

6 months.  Once opened, consume within 15 days (non-refrigerated) and within 30 days (in refrigerated condition)

Sunflower Oil, Tamarind, Sesame Oil, Red Chilli, Coriander Seed, Peanuts, Bengal Gram, Chilli Powder, Salt, Urad Dal, Mustard, Asafoetida, Jaggery, Curry Leaves, Black Pepper, Turmeric Powder, Fenugreek Seed, Permitted Class II Preservative (E211 Sodium Benzoate).

Note : In the United States, Sodium Benzoate is designated as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration. The International Program on Chemical Safety found no adverse effects in humans at doses of 647–825 mg/kg of body weight per day. (Source : Wikipedia)

How to Use

1. Mix paste with hot cooked rice, and add ghee or sesame oil, and consume
2. You can use the paste as it is as an accompaniment for Idly, Dosa, Chappati, Curd Rice etc.
