Instructions | You can also make rice flour without soaking the rice. Here's how: Rinse the rice, drain, and pat dry. Spread the rice out and dry until the grains are crunchy. Grind the rice into flour in a blender or coffee grinder. You can use either white or brown rice, but it should be a non-sticky, short- or medium-grained variety. For better grinding, you can soak the rice for longer, drain it completely, and dry it well. Rice flour can be used 1:1 in place of all-purpose flour. However, rice flour is more absorbent, so you may need to add more liquid than the recipe calls for. Rice flour can be used to make pancakes, dosa, roti, paratha, and snacks. |
