looms & weaves LAW India (looms & weaves) is a woman owned social enterprise, started in 2010 as a bold attempt to promote India’s rich handloom heritage across the world. We started with more than 100 innovative and trendsetting handloom home furnishing products made and marketed by this enterprise. The products are woven at small weaving hamlets of Kerala which have a heritage of over 900 years. looms & weaves made sure, with minimal role for middlemen, the customer gets the benefit of good handcrafted products at the best rate. Our social and environmental commitment only allows us to use natural fibers duly processed in the time-tested traditional ways and natural, durable colours making our products eco-friendly as well as baby-friendly.Our home linen is long-lasting and retains freshness even after years of use. Durable, attractive and authentic, these products are available in variety of stunning colours. Natural dyes used in our bath linen products nullify any harmful effects to us. The environment friendly dyeing process protects us from any harmful effects to the skin, ensures a hassle free washing and years without any fading. Our goal of ensuring safe food to the citizens of the country led us to start few initiatives for pesticide free and chemical free natural food. We then slowly moved to organize organic and fair trade farmers from different parts of the country, especially women famers. Their homestead products are sourced and marketed under our homestead spices division.Now more than about 150 different food products are sold under our brand, both online and offline. We also initiated to sell homemade ethnic treats prepared by housewives. Now 2 dozens of ethnic treats, specially South Indian snacks are selling under this category. We also started selling Ayurvedic and herbal beauty care products and other Ayurvedic products from Kerala under our brand.   • Purely used for medicinal purpose and rarely available variety of honey. Stingless bees produces very small amount of honey and has many medicinal values than normal honey. Stingless bee honey is twice as nutritious as ordinary honey. Stingless bee honey is called Mother Medicine and it has a prime importance in ayurvedic and other indigenous medicines around the world
  • Health benefits of stingless bee honey include anti-ageing, enhanced immune system, fighting bacteria and treating, sore throat, coughs and colds. It acts as antiseptic and effective in curing burns and diabetic wounds
  • Stingless bee honey has a lot of added nutrients than normal honey, because meliponine is smaller than the normal bee and can suck nectar from flowers to the deepest space. As a result, the honey collected contains many vitamins and minerals, among which is propolis, produced from the bee’s saliva mixed with its food such as pollen, bark, tree shoots and flowers. Propolis is highly beneficial to health; it contains 22 amino acids, glucose, vitamins A, B, C, D and E, bioflavonoids and minerals
  • NB: Flavour, taste, colour and density of the raw unprocessed honey may vary due to flowering time and according to climatic conditions. Honey obtained during summer would be entirely different in rainy season/winter period
  • Raw honey has a tendency to crystalise due to naturally found wax and bee pollens. It is a quite natural phenomenon. If you find crystalisation on the bottom of the honey jar, keep it in sun or keep the jar in hot water for 10-15 minutes, then it will be in normal state
