Seed rate and Sowing :
Palak is grown almost throughout the year, if you are growing in winters take 4-6 kg and for summers take 10-15 kg of seeds per acre. Seed should be sown at a depth of 3-4 cm and at 20 cm apart in a row.

Spinach takes up to a month to sprout at 40° while it may only take 5 days at 75° but at higher temperatures you may only see 30% germination rates. For best results soak seeds over night in water one week before planting. Allow to dry for a couple days and then store in refrigerator in a sealed container for 5 days.

For baby leaf: Sow 3–5 seeds/inch in rows at least 2" apart. For bunching and full size: Sow 10 seeds/ft., 1/2" deep, in rows 12–18" apart.The seed packet usually list germination time. Some seeds take 3-5 days some take up to 3 weeks.Longevity spinach has an impressive lifespan, often living for several years. With proper care, it can continuously produce both leaves and seeds.
