Founder's Story

Every brand has a story. Ours begins with a simple belief—that great cheese begins with honesty.

My journey into the world of food began more than 36 years ago in marketing and distribution. Over the years, I had the privilege of working with leading food brands, introducing new products to the market and building relationships with retailers, restaurants and customers across India.

As I helped build brands for others, I also gained a deep understanding of what customers truly value—not just quality products, but trust, consistency and honest guidance.

There came a point when I asked myself a simple question:

If I could help build other brands, why not create one that reflected my own values?

That question became the beginning of Mishti Gourmet.

Mishti Gourmet was never created to be just another cheese brand. It was created to make good cheese more approachable, enjoyable and understandable for Indian homes.

Our artisanal cheeses are crafted in small batches using fresh cow's milk, vegetarian rennet, natural ingredients where required, and low salt. Over the years, I realised that many people wanted to enjoy cheese but often felt unsure about how to choose it, store it or use it in everyday cooking. That inspired Leena's Cheese Table—a place where I share practical knowledge, simple recipes and honest conversations that help make the world of cheese less intimidating and far more enjoyable.
