Kashi Aman is a high-yielding, determinate tomato variety developed by ICAR–Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR). It is widely recognized for its firm, round fruits (80–110 g) that are resistant to Tomato Leaf Curl Virus (ToLCV), thanks to the Ty-3 gene.
The fruits have an attractive red color, firm flesh (0.5–0.6 cm thick), and a high total soluble solids (TSS) content of ~4.6°Brix, making them excellent for fresh consumption and processing. With a yield potential of 50–60 tonnes/ha, Kashi Aman is a reliable choice for farmers.
This variety is particularly suitable for cultivation in the North Indian plains during Rabi and Kharif seasons, offering consistent performance under diverse conditions.
