WHAT IS MASALA CHAI?

An indo-english brew that tastes strong and smooth and is rich in aroma, makes for a flavourful wholesome cup of tea. A cup of Butterfly Ayurveda's Indian Masala Chai simply leaves you craving for more.

This tea is great for the winter since it has warming herbs like Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove and Banafsha. These herbs have a tridosha balancing effect and help fight common cold, cough and fever. Masala chai/tea is specifically suited for early mornings or late evenings.

MASALA CHAI STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS

For tea bags:

  1. Bring fresh water to boil.
  2. Place the Masala Chai tea bag and pour hot water (preferably at 98° C) in a cup.
  3. Allow it to brew for about two minutes.
  4. Stir well and add milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add sugar if you like.

For loose tea:

  1. Bring fresh water to boil.
  2. Add 2 gms of loose Masala Chai to hot water (preferably at 98° C)
  3. Allow it to brew for about two minutes.
  4. Stir well and add milk and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add sugar if you like.
  6. Strain it into a cup.

AVAILABLE QUANTITIES

100gm/200gm - Masala Chai comes protected inside an airtight aluminum foil, packaged carefully in a stylized cardboard pack.

20 Tea Bags (40gm) - This comes in 100% biodegradable tea bags made of corn and wheat starch.

DOSAGE & STORAGE

Dosage: One cup of tea twice a day.
