The clothes contain texts of Gita Govinda on them.Khandua sarees are primarily made from fine mulberry silk, known for its smooth texture, lustrous sheen, and durability.The silk used in Khandua sarees is soft to the touch and drapes beautifully, offering a luxurious feel.Pasapalli sarees are a distinctive type of traditional handwoven fabric from Odisha, India, known for their unique and intricate checkerboard patterns. The name "Pasapalli" is derived from the word "pasa," referring to the game of dice, which the patterns on these sarees resemble.Ikat is unique because the patterns are dyed onto the threads before they are woven into fabric. This pre-weaving dyeing process is what sets ikat apart from other dyeing techniques.Threads are tightly bound in specific patterns with a resist material such as wax, dye-resistant threads, or other substances. These bindings prevent the dye from penetrating certain areas of the threads. Weaver communities of Maniabandha and Nuapatna of Cuttack traditionally weave this kind of Pata. During the rule of Gajapatis, Sarees are made and transported to Jagannath Temple.
