Add directly to boiling curries or dals (after soaking if needed) to enhance tanginess. 3. For Tamarind Paste: Soak pulp in hot water, blend into a smooth paste. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for easy use. 4. As a Natural Preservative or Tenderizer: Tamarind can be added to marinades for meat or seafood to help tenderize. Also used in pickles for natural preservation. 5. Storage Tips: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, store in an airtight container or zip-lock pouch.
