"Nadiaphula" is an indigenous scented variety of Nayagarh district, Odisha with traditional aroma being used for Kheer & Pulau. This variety is grown purely with organic inputs. It can't be grown with chemical fertilizers as the plants fall with excess uses of nitrogen. Generally the rice is used during worship to offer God and also to ancestor during "Shraddha Day".
