He also has to his credit 28 publications in indexed journals. He performs a wide spectrum of advanced laparoscopic and open GI surgery; however, his special interest is in the field of laparoscopic ileal pouch surgery for ulcerative colitis and minimally invasive surgery for acite pancreatitis. Dr Sanjiv Haribhakti has also innovated a scarless retractor called Hammock Retractor for atraumatic retraction of the left lobe of liver in laparoscopic UGI surgery. His latest innovation has been in the field of natural orifice surgery. He has innovated ports for transoral UGI surgery, transanal surgery, SILS ports for SILS and VARD port for retroperitoneal necrosectomy.
