SHOFU VINTAGE HALO OPALDESCRIPTION High-fusing porcelain for all common porcelain-bonding alloys with a CTE range from 13.5 to 14.6 x 10⁻⁶K⁻¹ (25 to 500 °C). The ceramic system with a natural dispersion and reflexion of light (Halo effect) has been developed over several years in cooperation with Makoto Yamamoto. Computer-controlled shade measurements of several thousand natural teeth have led to a new definition of the dental shade spectrum and its expansion to altogether 38 shades. The 16 shades have been expanded: • Root shades: chroma intensive for the A, B, C shade group; • Red Shift shades: reddish, the so-called 5th shade group; • Value Plus shades: with an increased brightness value. FEATURES A well accepted metal-bonded porcelain system created to overcome the limitations of the traditional shade system by incorporating the reddish shades observed in natural tooth, based on the natural tooth colour space.
